Shift Options & Pay Details

We have two shifts available. Both come with premium pay on top of your base rate.

  • Night Shift – Monday thru Thursday (4×10) Every Friday off!! Flexible start time after 3-3:30p. Typical shift starts at 5:00p. 15% shift premium ($3.75-$4.50) per hour
  • Weekend Shift – Friday/Saturday/Sunday (3×12) 5a-5p. Monday thru Thursday off every week!!! 30% shift premium ($7.50-$9.00) per hour on Saturday and Sunday

Ample Overtime available so you can earn even more!

The Role:

As a Machinist at Paragon D&E, you’ll operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations to close tolerances. You’ll work from manufacturing plans and programming instructions, verify setups, and take ownership of part quality from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate numerically controlled (CNC) machines for precision machining
  • Review daily machine schedules and work from manufacturing plans and programming instructions
  • Verify tooling, programming, and that materials match job data before running
  • Monitor actual vs. planned hours and communicate discreprancies to the Team Lead
  • Maintain traceability of job data, files, materials, and components
  • Communicate proactively on non-conforming products, programming concerns, or setup issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement events: LEANS, SQDIP, 5S, and STOP (lite) Safety
  • Keep machines maintained and your work area clean daily

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of transferable CNC machining experience OR a completed machining apprenticeship
  • Ability to work from manufacturing plans, setup instructions, and operational data
  • Attention to detail and committment to quality and close tolerances
  • Strong communication skills – you keep the team informed
  • A troubleshooter who digs into root causes, not just symptoms
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on machining work
