SUMMARY
The Quality Manager will focus on product quality by working with the quality team and across the organization to ensure that company and customer quality standards are met at all steps of the manufacturing process.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
•Lead team of direct reports including product inspectors, quality engineers and quality administrative roles.
•Partner with Quality Systems Manager to drive continual improvement and proactive quality improvement initiatives through SQDIP or Leadership Focus.
•Partner with Program Management and Sales team to determine disposition and approve rework plans where required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned:
•Works with product teams through preplanning and contract review to ensure feasibility and compliance with customer specifications, product, and inspection requirements.
•Implements the Incoming inspection process with the Quality Team for key components: Develops inspection procedures and integrates records of inspection to current information systems.
•Leads technical problem solving, root cause analysis (8D or similar) and documents product corrective actions, OI and OIRs.
•Provides input to manufacturing process design to improve right first time and reduce rework.
•Advances product inspection methodologies to improve productivity, throughput, and cost.
•Develops the Paragon welding process, work instructions, procedures, and control together with the welding quality engineer.
•Develops work instructions for in-process inspections and signoffs for new projects.
•Leads and actively participates in continuous improvement activities and drives efforts to implement Lean principles.
•Creates customer-specific reports for final inspection.
•Leads and controls external inspections.
•Sign-off on job-related quality documentation such as product CoCs, test and inspection reports as required. Also in the HUB, Manufacturing plan and job-info inspections.
•Leads the standardization and completion of control plan through Schedule board Quality Cards.
•Assists with investigation and resolution of non-conforming parts and customer corrective actions.
•Responsible for inspection equipment calibration to ensure gages used to determine conformance or non-conformance of product to requirements are within the system of calibration and capable of the required accuracy according to the Calibration procedure in QMS.
•Capable of creating, reviewing and adjusting inspection plans (Discuss).
•Back up in the ITAR review process of redacted documents.
•Responsible to improve, review and create Quality Assurance procedures and processes complying with internal audits to Quality Control and Assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS
At least 7 years’ experience in a Quality Management role. Strong experience in machining, fabrication and/or welding in a low volume, high-mix operation is highly preferred. Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9000 standards required. Previous experience in continuous improvement and lean processes strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and capability analysis highly preferred. Knowledgeable of problem solving.
